All About Alerts
The Safe@AllStar app was developed to help keep your athletes safe. One of the ways we accomplish this is through alerts.
What is an alert?
An alert notifies either your “friends” (Yellow alert) or the entire network of app users (Red alert) that your athlete is missing. The alert contains your athlete’s profile which includes photographs, physical description, and your emergency contact information.
Yellow Alerts
Yellow alerts only notify people you have assigned as your “friends”.
Red Alerts
Red alerts notify every single user on the entire Safe@AllStar network. A red alert is for the most serious emergencies when all other options to locate your athlete have been exhausted.
How do I create an alert?
After registering on the app and creating your athlete profile, take the following actions:
- Tap “Send Alert”
- Tap the athlete that has gone missing
- Choose what kind of alert you want to send (Red or Yellow)
- Read the checklist and make sure you have completed all necessary actions before marking them as complete.
- Tap “Send”
How do I close an alert?
If you would like to close an active alert, take the following actions:
- Tap “Alert List”
- Tap the name of the found athlete
- Tap “Close”
